The Pe Ell-Willapa Valley softball team played two games in Montesano on Saturday, losing to Elma 7-6 in nine innings before defeating Hoquiam 12-6.
Against Elma, the Titans (10-3, 3-1 P2BL) held a 2-1 lead going into the seventh, but the Eagles tied the game at two to force extra innings.
After a scoreless eighth, both offenses came to life in the ninth. The Titans scored four in the top half, and the Eagles responded with five for a walk-off win.
Lauren Emery struck out 17 in eight and two-thirds in the circle, and Tylar Keeton drove in three with a pair of hits at the plate.
In Game 2, Hoquiam took a 4-0 lead in the first three innings, but a seven-run fifth gave PWV the lead.
Keeton, Lauren Matlock, and Sophia Milanowski each hit a home run and a double, and they combined for eight runs batted in.
The Titans are back in action Monday, when they host Ocosta for a doubleheader.
