The Pe Ell-Willapa Valley softball team had a great day at the plate on Friday, scoring in every inning of a 15-6 non-league win over Rochester.
The Warriors were able to keep it close early, trailing just 6-3 after three, but Eliza Barnum settled down in the circle for PWV.
She went on to allow six runs (four earned) while walking six and striking out seven.
Five different Titans — Sophia Milanowski, Addison Merkel, Jilliam Hodel, Lauren Matlock, and Lorelei Smaciarz — hit six home runs. Milanowski hit two and finished with five runs batted in, and Matlock went on to hit for the cycle, driving in two runs and scoring three more.
Smaciarz and Hodel both collected three hits and drove in a pair, and Hodel added three hits and two RBIs of her own. Rylin Channell also drove in a run, as did Tylar Keeton.
Rochester (11-3, 5-0 1A Evergreen) will host Montesano on Monday, while PWV (11-3, P2BL) will head to North Beach for a doubleheader on Tuesday.
