Tiny Tanks Battle at Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis

Posted

Members of the Northwest Division Pacific Armor Corps (NORDPAC) remote control (RC) tank club met at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis over the weekend to pit their tiny, treaded machines against each other in simulated tank battles.

NORDPAC is a nonprofit composed of RC tank enthusiasts, with members throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.

According to club member Andrew Smith, the tanks utilize an infrared light and sensor system. A tank will “fire” its gun emitting the light, and a sensor on the targeted tank will light up if it registers as a hit.

Club members set up a roped-off area complete with terrain and building structures and held battles for anyone over the age of 10.
