Runs were aplenty for both Napavine and Mossyrock on Friday, as the Tigers topped the Vikings 20-16.
Mossyrock (7-5, 2-0 1B CVL) led 6-1 after one and still held a lead going into the fourth, but Napavine (8-2, 2-1 C2BL) scored six in the fourth to take a 10-6 lead.
Both offenses scored with ease throughout the rest of the game, but four in the seventh was enough for Napavine to come away with the win.
Napavine’s Clara Fay went 5 for 6 at the plate and drove in four runs, while Hannah Fay went 2 for 2 with four walks and scored four times. Maya Kunkel collected three hits, including two doubles, and scored three times.
Lois Stone hit a home run and brought home four for Mossyrock, while Chesney Schultz went 3 for 5 and drove in six. Adyson Barrows went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.
Both teams will return to league play in their next matchups, as the Tigers will host Wahkiakum in a doubleheader on Monday, while the Vikings will head to Naselle on Thursday.
