The Centralia girls golf team improved to 4-2 on Wednesday, as the Tigers topped Shelton 40-8.

Emily Wilkerson and Lily Ferch led the way with 12 points each, while Tess McMurry scored seven, Emma Fitzgerald tallied five, and Corin Meek logged four.

Centralia coach Hal Gronseth said that it wasn’t the Tigers’ best performance, but he was overall pleased with how the girls shot after a lengthy break.

“We had some kids play some pretty good holes,” Gronseth said. “A win is a win. Hopefully, we can get better.”

The Tigers will be back in action at Riverside on Tuesday, and then they’ll head to Tumwater Valley on Wednesday to take on Black Hills.
