Tigers run rampant past T-Wolves

The Napavine girls basketball team didn’t slow down at all until things were well past the point of doubt Friday at home against Morton-White Pass, rolling to a 70-39 victory.

Hayden Kaut led the charge for the unbeaten Tigers (12-0, 6-0 C2BL) with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Jessie McCoy was a perfect 6 for 6 from the field to add 14 points. Taylen Evander scored 11 to go along with six rebounds and five assists, while Keira O’Neill did it all with six points, nine boards, six steals and two assists.

Ana Gonzalez led the T-Wolves (7-5, 2-3 C2BL) with 12 points, and Malia Armstrong had 10 to go along with four steals and five assists.

Napavine burst out to a 21-5 lead after a quarter of play. It was 32-12 at half, before the Tigers went off for 26 points in the third quarter to pull away well and truly. 

Napavine takes on Elma in a non-league game Saturday, then returns to C2BL play with a top-of-the-league clash with Rainier on Tuesday. MWP will be back in action on Tuesday, at Toutle Lake.
