Tigers Offense Guides 88-72 Win Over La Center

After a grind-it-out, low-possession win over league foe Rainier last week, the Napavine boys basketball team had to find a different way to win when La Center came to town and ran up and down the floor on the Tigers.

The Tigers nearly had 70 points after three quarters, and beat the visiting Wildcats, 88-72, at home.

Four Tigers finished in double figures, led by Jarin Prather’s 22, Keith Olson’s 20, James Grose’s 18, and Cale Stanley’s 11 points.

“Every time we play La Center, it turns into this kind of game,” Tigers coach Rex Stanley said. “We do a good job of sharing the basketball and playing around Keith, it was a collective effort by all tonight.”

The Tigers (6-1, 2-0 C2BL) take on Toutle Lake in Napavine on Wednesday for their next league contest.
