The Napavine boys basketball team scored early and often on Thursday, and it led to a dominant 97-39 win over Morton-White Pass.

The Tigers (5-0, 3-0 C2BL) scored 65 points in the first half alone, and took a 52-point lead into halftime.

Four Tigers finished in double figures, led by James Grose with 27 on 11 of 15 shooting (including five threes), and Cayle Kelly finished just shy of that mark with nine.

Jarin Prather scored 17, while Karsen Denauly and Cal Bullock added 13 each. As a team, the Tigers shot 41 of 75 from the field and nailed 13 threes.

Brody Landram led the team with 10 rebounds and scored six points, and Denault hauled in six rebounds of his own.

Kelly, Prather and Cael Stanley all finished with five assists.

For the Timberwolves (2-6, 0-2 C2BL), Judah Kelly and Tony Belgiorno still had some success, combining for 25 points, but the T-Wolves offense couldn’t keep up with the Tigers. Keaton Thompson added eight points.

Belgiorno finished with five rebounds, as did Kohen Ingalsbe, who also scored four points.

The Tigers will look to remain unbeaten against Brewster on Friday before welcoming Mabton on Saturday, while the T-Wolves will head to Portland to face Toledo at the Moda Center on Friday.
