The Napavine girls basketball team won its fourth straight game to open the winter, beating Toutle Lake 55-34 at home Wednesday.

The Ducks became the first time this season to score in all four quarters against the Tigers (4-0, 2-0 C2BL), but the Napavine defense still held them to single digits in the first three, leading by 27 before the offense cooled off in the fourth.

Hayden Kaut led Napavine with 14 points. Keira O’Nell added 12 to go along with 16 rebounds — eight offensive, eight defensive — as well as three blocks and three assists. As a team, the Tigers won the rebounding back decisively, 42-25.

Taylen Evander scored 11 points and dished out three assists.

Defensively, the Tigers forced 23 turnovers, and turned them into 22 points on the other end of the floor.

Napavine will head to Toledo on Friday for another C2BL matchup.
