The Black Hills girls soccer team got off to a quick start on Tuesday at Tiger Stadium, scoring twice in the first 15 minutes to set the tone in a 4-1 victory.

It was the Wolves’ second straight league win and puts them within one win of .500.

Trinity Smith was able to get the Tigers on the board with a shot that deflected in before halftime, but Centralia wasn’t able to find the equalizer before Black Hills added on in the second.

Centralia coach Luis Magana was hoping his team would have a better performance on their senior night, but he emphasized the importance of turning the page and getting ready for their final two games of the regular season.

He also gave a shoutout to each of his five seniors: Smith, Izabella Hernandez, Makenna Horst, Megan Tokstad, and Nena Venegas-Minor.

“I am proud of these girls who I have seen grow and develop their skills these past few seasons,” Magana said. “I thank them for their commitment to the program.”

The Tigers (6-8, 4-4 2A EvCo) will head to Chehalis for the Chronicle Cup on Thursday, while the Wolves (10-4, 4-4 2A EvCo) will host Black Hills.
