The Centralia girls basketball team maxed out at nine points a quarter Thursday, opening its home tournament with a 48-25 loss to 1A Eatonville.

Makayla Chavez was the Tigers’ leading scorer with seven points, and Gracee Cline had six. But the offense never really got going for Centralia, which went into halftime down 24-17 and only managed eight points in the entire second half.

Centralia will get a second game at home Friday, against either Lakes or Eisenhower.
