Tigers fall to Aberdeen in Harbor

The Centralia girls basketball team couldn’t pull enough offense before it was too late Wednesday at Aberdeen, losing 49-38.

The Tigers kept things within a point after a low-scoring first quarter and five at halftime, but Aberdeen figured out its offense well enough to go on a 20-7 run in the third quarter to pull away.

Centralia managed 15 points in the fourth in its best period offensively, but it was too little, too late.

Gracie Schofield led the guests with 11 points, while Payton Baumel had 10, Brooklyn Sprague had eight and Ayana Saucedo had six.

The Tigers are set to face Rochester on Friday.
