The Napavine volleyball team’s regular season ended on a sour note on Wednesday, as the Tigers were swept by Toutle Lake 25-17, 27-25, 25-19.
“We didn’t play well,” Napavine coach Monica Dailey said. “Didn’t work as a team. We were slow moving. Not our best game. We need to improve because (the) season starts over right now for playoffs.”
There were a few bright spots on the court, as Keira O’Neill had eight kills and three blocks, while Dakota Hamilton and Jessie McCoy each had six kills. Hamilton also added 16 assists, and Grace Gall and Emily Kang were perfect from the service line.
The Tigers finish the regular season 12-4 overall and 6-3 in C2BL play, good enough to finish fourth in the league standings.
As a result, they’ll take on Ilwaco in the first round of the district tournament on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Adna. The winner will move on to face Raymond, the Pacific’s top team who finished the league season unbeaten, at 4 p.m. in the second round.
