Tigers earn another win over Bobcats

The Centralia boys tennis team took another step closer to an undefeated season on Wednesday, as the Tigers defeated Aberdeen 5-1 on the road.

Zander Corwin and Sylvester Stehr came away with wins in the top two singles matches, while the duos of Jonny Robbins and Bobby Simpson and Kycen Donahue and Charlie Stratton dropped just two combined games in the second and third doubles slot.

Samuel Parkin lost a tiebreaker in the third singles, and Centralia’s top doubles team of Jonah Lowe and Kadin Yeung won via forfeit after taking a 5-2 lead in the first set.

On Thursday, the Tigers will head to Chehalis, where they will go for their second win over W.F. West and look to finish off an unbeaten regular season.

Third singles: Jose Bedolla (ABD) def. Samuel Parkin (CEN) 6-4, 4-6, (10-8).

First doubles: Jonah Lowe/Kadin Yeung (CEN) win via forfeit.

Second doubles: Jonny Robbins/Bobby Simpson (CEN) def. Levi Long/Preston Williams (ABD) 6-1, 6-0.

Third doubles: Kycen Donahue/Charlie Stratton (CEN) def. Cson Braaten/Ace Fischer (ABD) 6-1, 6-0.
