The Centralia girls tennis team rolled to a win on Tuesday, sweeping Black Hills 6-0.

“The girls played with intensity and confidence today,” Centralia assistant coach Carissa Kaut said. “Easily one of our best all-around performances.”

Maya Lackie didn’t drop a game in her singles victory, and Esther Hopkins lost just two games in her win. Eliyah Rooklidge bounced back from losing the first set to win her match in three sets.

All three Tiger duos won, losing just a combined eight games in the three matches.

“Their growth is showing,” Kaut said. “Everyone contributed to a solid team win. I’m proud of the effort and excited to see them carry this momentum into the second half of the season.”

The Tigers will be back at home on Wednesday to face Tenino before hosting Black Hills on Thursday.
