Thursday's wrestling report: Black Hills stave off Aberdeen in EvCo dual

Behind six straight weights won, five of them by bonus points, the Wolves secured a 43-31 victory over the Bobcats on Thursday night in an Evergreen Conference dual in Aberdeen.

Roberto Rivera-Jesus kicked off the run of wins with a 16-1 technical fall triumph at 106-pounds. Aiden Labouff added a 3-0 win at 113, followed by another tech fall and three straight pins.

Porter Neklason (150) and Marcos Cruz Jr. (157) added two more pins for Black Hills to make two forfeits at 175 and 190 break even.

The Wolves return to the mat on Saturday at the River Ridge Rumble.

Centralia girls stay perfect, beat Black Hills



Even with some starters out, the Tigers maintained their spotless dual record and triumphed over the Wolves 47-36 on Thursday night in an Evergreen Conference dual in Tumwater.

Now at 3-0, Centralia wraps up the dual season with the Swamp Cup versus W.F. West and EvCo foe Shelton.

Braylee Blankenship picked up a dramatic 9-6 overtime victory, while four Centralia wrestlers – Luna Martinez, Lua Hudson, Eva Reinitz and Autumn Weinke – picked up pins.
