Three injured in U.S. Highway 12 crash in Onalaska on Wednesday

An Onalaska man is facing a possible traffic violation after he allegedly caused a crash that injured himself and two others on U.S. Highway 12 in Onalaska on Wednesday morning.

Thomas H. Duffin, 66, was reportedly stopped on northbound Brim Road in a silver 2005 Dodge Magnum when he allegedly made a left turn onto U.S. Highway 12 and struck an eastbound white 2004 Ford Econoline, according to the Washington State Patrol, which responded to the crash at approximately 6:55 a.m. on Nov. 27.

The driver of the Ford, Marcelo Pablo Cruz, 44, of Shelton, was not injured and is facing possible third-degree driving with a suspended license charges. Thomas faces a possible improper turn charge.

Thomas and two of the seven occupants of the Ford, a 28-year-old Shelton man and a 17-year-old Shelton girl, were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for medical treatment.

Both vehicles were totaled.

Failure to yield was the cause of the crash, according to the state patrol, which determined that no drugs or alcohol were involved.
