Those commuting this week between Thurston and Lewis counties should prepare for possible "long delays and backups," according to the state Department of Transportation.
That's because portions of I-5, in both directions, will be reduced to one lane for road work.
The work will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3-6 between the Thurston County line and Maytown, or mileposts 85.5 to 93, according to WSDOT.
"Please give yourself extra time to get through the work zone," WSDOT officials said in an alert.
