The Chronicle History Project: Scenes From the 1950s

The Chronicle is now publishing historical photos from the archives in every edition.

The Chronicle is working to digitize thousands of images currently stored on film in order to preserve them for future generations. If you have insight on any of the images, feel free to email Editor-in-Chief Eric Schwartz at news@chronline.com. Any information provided by the community will be preserved along with the images.

Many of these images have never been published and any notes identifying people and locations have been lost, so help from readers is greatly appreciated.
