Tenino’s Carson Schall dominated hurdles races all season long, and on Thursday in Vancouver, he won a district title in both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles.
He ran the 110 in 15.40 seconds and the 300 in 40.32 seconds, the latter being a new personal record.
He wasn’t the only Beaver to come out victorious at Seton Catholic, as Ashton Moore won the high jump by half of an inch. His leap of 21 feet, 5.5 inches, a new personal best, beat out King’s Way Christian’s Ryan Charlton.
Rochester also came away with two district titles, as Merecedies Dupont won the 200-meter dash in 25.59 seconds and the Warriors’ 4x200 relay team of Dupont, Kailyn Black, Kenna Pratt, and Jordyn Johnson won that relay in 1:49.07.
The same relay team finished second in the 4x100.
Dupont was also the runner-up in the 100, while Black finished third in the 100 hurdles. Gunnar Morgan finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:01.71.
Tenino’s Tristan Von Bargen finished third in the 400-meter run with a time of 52.74 seconds, just a quarter-second behind the winner, and Parker Minerich took third in the discus with a toss of 119 feet, 11 inches.
The Tenino boys finished fifth as a team with 62 points, while Rochester finished eighth with 29. The Rochester girls finished sixth with 53 team points, while the Tenino girls scored eight points.
