Tenino’s Paisley Garcia made the next step of her athletic career official on Tuesday, signing her National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska.
“We’re so proud of her and look forward to hearing about all other future success on the field and in the classroom,” Tenino coach Dave Montgomery said. “She has a lot to be proud of and I’m lucky to have been her coach the last five seasons.”
Garcia earned a starting role as a sophomore, and she’s been a team captain for the Beavers for the last two years.
As a junior, she earned all-league second-team honors, and this past fall, she scored two goals and notched two assists to earn all-league first-team honors.
“She’s an extremely hard worker and someone everyone on the team looks up to,” Montgomery said. ““She has a lot to be proud of and I’m lucky to have been her coach the last five seasons.”
