Tenino’s Kendra Cutlip took the next step in her athletic career on Tuesday, signing a Letter of Intent in the Tenino High School library to play collegiate soccer at South Puget Sound Community College.

Cutlip signed in front of friends and family, as well as SPSCC assistant coach Lee Baker and several of her future teammates.

Cutlip gained a starting role on Tenino’s back line as a junior, and that season she earned 1A Evergreen League second-team honors.

This past season, she anchored the Tenino defense, providing direction for her younger teammates while helping the Beavers finish the season with six shutouts en route to earning first-team all-league and all-area honors. She also added a goal and an assist in the attack.

Cutlip will join three former Beavers with the Clippers, as Kami Oliveira, Lizzy Disken, and Nicole Fralick will all be on the team next season.

Tenino coach Dave Montgomery was also in attendance, and he noted that they are “very proud and excited” for Cutlip to advance to the next level.
