A Tenino woman is facing multiple charges including two felony counts after she allegedly broke a window screen at her ex-boyfriend’s apartment in Centralia and stole his wallet, which was placed on the windowsill, back in July.
Charges include second-degree theft, a Class C felony, residential burglary (domestic violence), a Class B felony, and a pair of misdemeanor charges for third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence) and third-degree theft.
During her preliminary court appearance on Wednesday, Oct. 14, Kelli Lee Kinkade, 20, appeared in person at the Lewis County Superior Court. She was released on personal recognizance by Lewis County Superior Court Pro Tem Commissioner Kathryn Eyraud, who set her arraignment and trial setting hearing for Oct. 15.
She was also ordered to complete administrative booking at the Lewis County Jail and ordered to abide by a no-contact order with her ex-boyfriend.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office, Kinkade’s ex-boyfriend had obtained a no-contact order against Kinkade in Napavine Municipal Court on March 27, 2025, though it was unknown to investigators if the order was still active in July 2026, when the alleged incident occurred.
On July 12, the Centralia Police Department responded to a call from the man, who stated Kinkade allegedly came to his apartment with her cousin, “known only as ‘Amara.’” The man told Kinkade she was not welcome and told her to leave.
While Kinkade and her cousin did leave the man’s apartment, Kinkade allegedly “punched through the window screen and stole his wallet,” which was on the windowsill inside, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Using his phone’s banking application, the man showed Centralia police his debit card had recently been used for $311.48 in purchases from the Harrison Avenue AMPM gas station.
Upon visiting the AMPM, Centralia police spoke with the clerk and showed them a Washington state Department of Licensing photo of Kinkade, with the clerk stating they had observed Kinkade using the ATM inside the AMPM.
Upon reviewing security camera footage from the AMPM, Centralia police observed Kinkade allegedly using the ATM for around five minutes before leaving with withdrawn cash.
