Wolf Haven International — a Tenino-based wolf sanctuary — has announced the return of its annual Wolves & Wine fundraising event.

“For the first time since 2019, we will be gathering for an evening to enjoy wine, craft beer, plentiful hors d’oeuvres and interesting auction items in the company of friends, family and wolf supporters as we raise critical funds for Wolf Haven,” the sanctuary stated on its website.

Due to the nature of the event, it is for those 21 and older only.

Wolves & Wine will feature the latest news on Wolf Haven’s Tenino and McCleery Ranch, Montana, sanctuaries and will be held on Saturday, March 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Saint Martin’s University’s Norman Worthington Center, located at 5300 Pacific Ave. SE in Lacey.

Tickets are $100 per person, or $750 for a table for eight guests, and sponsorship opportunities are available. To purchase tickets and for more information, visit https://wolfhaven.betterworld.org/events/wolves-and-wine-2024

Founded in 1982, Wolf Haven International is a globally recognized nonprofit wolf sanctuary that has rescued and provided lifetime homes for more than 300 displaced, captive-born wolves and wolfdogs, with most animals being relocated from private ownership, zoos, roadside attractions or other unfortunate situations, according to its website.

Wolf Haven also promotes conservation through education with sanctuary visits by advanced registration only.

To register for a sanctuary visit, go to https://wolfhaven.org/sanctuary/visit/. Registration cost is $20 for adults, $15 for students, seniors and military service members, and $8 for children 12 and under.

Sanctuary visits are not recommended for children 5 and under due to the visits’ duration and requirement to remain quiet and still.

Wolf Haven International is located at 3111 Offut Lake Road SE in Tenino. To learn more about the sanctuary, visit https://wolfhaven.org/
