Avenging a loss earlier this season at home to Centralia, the Tumwater boys soccer team defeated the Tigers on the road Tuesday night, 2-0, after a pair of goals in the second half.
It was a scoreless stalemate in the first half, with the Tigers and Thunderbirds putting up deuces in the opening half, but a quick burst in the second half was enough to do the Tigers in at Centralia in a league matchup.
Dylan Stevens broke the draw in the 59th minute, and a short while later Gabe O’Connor doubled the T-Bird lead, helping Tumwater to the 2-0 win.
Tumwater will take on rival Black Hills on Thursday for another league matchup while the Tigers take on Rochester on Friday.
