T-Birds get back into win column with non-league victory

The Tumwater boys basketball team snapped a five-game skid in Olympia on Saturday, beating Capital 60-48.

Henry Wilson dominated down low for the T-Birds (5-6, 3-1 2A EvCo), racking up 19 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.

Clay Morgan added 16 points, eight boards and six assists, and Sahara Anthony III scored 13 points to go along with seven boards.

The Cougars led by four points at the end of the first quarter, but Tumwater went on a 21-9 run in the second to wrest control of the game away, going into halftime up by eight.

The T-Birds will face W.F. West on Wednesday.
