Though it was tight, the Tumwater boys golf team dispatched W.F. West at Newaukum Golf Course in Chehalis, 209-239, Wednesday afternoon.

Braden Conrad of Tumwater was the match medalist, carding a 38, and Ben Halverstadt led the Bearcats with a 42. 

“It was a great day, with lots of good golf,” Bearcats coach Matt Klovdahl said. “WFW golfers are seeing some good individual improvement but haven't been able to put five good scores together during a match. Ben has proven to be a great competitor who is consistently putting up good scores every match.”

The Bearcats take on Centralia for their next match on Monday at Newaukum.
