The Tumwater volleyball team won the first set by 12 and proceeded to only allow 12 total points in the next two sets in a dominant 25-13, 25-6, 25-6 sweep of W.F. West on Thursday that puts the T-Birds on the brink of the 2A EvCo title.

Emily Robello facilitated the offense for the Thunderbirds (11-1, 9-0 2A EvCo) with 24 assists, and also had eight digs.

Natalie Montoya-Kilmer led the offense with 10 kills, while Natalie Manning had eight and Chloe Henderson had six.

Brooklynn Hayes had seven digs and two aces, and McKayla Clary had six digs.

With three games to go in 2A EvCo play, Tumwater’s magic number is down to one, meaning that one win for the T-Birds or one loss for Black Hills will be enough to hand the T-Birds the league title. They’ll face Shelton at home Tuesday.

W.F. West (2-11, 2-7 2A EvCo) will face Centralia on Tuesday.
