Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 22, customers at Lewis County Coffee Co. locations have the chance to pair their coffees with two new cookies as the company has begun a “signature cookie collaboration” with Sweet Dough Cookie Co. in Chehalis.
The cookies will be sold exclusively at Lewis County Coffee Co., according to a news release.
The two new cookie flavors are “Signature Cast-Iron” and “Pumpkin Maple Pecan.” They will only be available for a limited time.
Lewis County Coffee Co. President Samantha Magnuson and Sweet Dough Cookie Co. owner Ashlee Shirer stated their collaboration was a celebration of local businesses collaborating to create something for the community to love and remember.
“We’ve built Lewis County Coffee Co. on community and connection,” Magnuson said in the release. “Partnering with another homegrown brand like Sweet Dough allows us to celebrate those same values — hard work, creativity and giving back to the place that built us.”
“When two local brands come together to share their passion, the result is something truly special,” Shirer added. “This collaboration is a reflection of how our small businesses can lift each other up while giving our community something fun and delicious to enjoy.”
Additionally, this Saturday, Oct. 25, customers at Sweet Dough Cookie Co. will have the chance to get an exclusive Lewis County Coffee Co.-inspired cookie box, which honors “the Magnuson and Twining families’ eight-year journey growing Lewis County Coffee Co. and their continued investment in their hometown community.”
Customers will also be able to try a cup of the coffee company’s “Cast Iron Blend” or “Bearcat Energizer.”
Currently, Sweet Dough Cookie Co. is only open one day a week on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon, or until cookies are sold out.
Shirer and Sweet Dough Cookie Co. were thrown into the spotlight a few years ago after Shirer made back-to-back appearances on the Food Network show Christmas Cookie Challenge, where she twice won $10,000 for her decorated cookies, as previously reported by The Chronicle.
Originally opening her bakery in Centralia, Shirer moved Sweet Dough Cookie Co. to Chehalis last year. It is located at 734 S. Market Blvd.
“Both companies share a deep commitment to Lewis County, supporting local events, youth programs and charitable efforts year-round,” the release added. “This collaboration is another example of their shared mission to bring people together — one cup of coffee and one cookie at a time.”
