Centralia College is set to hold its sixth annual Capstone Presentation Day on Friday, June 8. The event will take place in the TransAlta Commons building.
According to a press release from the college, “The community is invited to view the presentations and projects, meet the students, hear talks on a variety of topics, and celebrate academic excellence.”
The oral presentations will take place in room 122 from noon until 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., while the poster and project displays will take place from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the banquet room.
This free event includes light refreshments.
The college is anticipating roughly 50 student projects at the event, two of which are a “tree-ring analysis of a Douglas Fir from the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair” and a “study of the toxicity of silver particles on brine shrimp.”
