State restricts Lewis County doctor’s license

The Washington Medical Commission (WMC) has issued an interim stipulated order restricting Lewis County physician Dr. Joseph Denor, according to a recent news release.

The order requires that Denor follow workplace restrictions including no night-shift work and a prohibition on having a solo practice. Denor must also avoid being alone with female staff and must have a chaperone with female patients, according to the release.

The recommendations also call for a worksite monitor.

“The WMC alleges that Denor returned to work prior to monitoring being in place and is unable to practice with reasonable skill and safety due to diagnosed health conditions unless he is monitored by a Commission-approved physicians health program,” the release said.

The order, WMC said, is pending further disciplinary proceedings.
