With Halloween just a few weeks away on Oct. 31, residents from throughout the region are invited to get up close and personal with possible paranormal phenomena during upcoming ghost walks and ghost tours in the Twin Cities.
Starting this week in Centralia, McMenamins Olympic Club began holding ghost tours inside the historic bar and hotel, sharing tales of some of the infamous events that have occurred there and reportedly left the hotel haunted.
The first tour was on Thursday, Oct. 8. The remaining tours will be held at 7 and 9 p.m. on the Thursdays Oct. 15, 22 and 29, with tickets costing $20 per person.
Additionally, McMenamins Olympic Club has a special Hauntings of Western Washington History Pub presentation featuring Olympia Oddities podcast host and local paranormal expert Trista Heenan on Tuesday, Oct. 20, starting at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6. On Oct. 16 and 17, the Centralia Downtown Festivals Association will host its annual Ghost Walk & Dark Market event. Tickets for the Ghost Walk are $20 per person, with walks offered on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 17, from 3 to 8 p.m.

The Dark Market is free to attend, and will be held inside the Lewis & Clark Event Center, located at 117 W. Magnolia St. in downtown Centralia. It will be open on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Finally, in Chehalis, the Lewis County Historical Museum is offering tours of the old train depot the museum now calls home, which many have claimed for decades is haunted.
Tours will be hosted by GhostOria, a paranormal investigative group hailing from Astoria, Oregon, and are scheduled on the Saturdays of Oct. 17 and 24. Tours for those 13 and up will be held first on both Saturdays starting at 7 p.m. and going until 9, followed by a tour for those 18 and up from 10 p.m. to midnight.
The Lewis County Historical Museum is located at 599 NW Front Street in downtown Chehalis.
