The snowfall in the central Puget Sound region isn’t all fun and games, causing a number of highway traffic issues Friday morning.
Interstate 90 is closed between North Bend and near Easton, 20 miles east of the Snoqualmie Pass summit, due to multiple spinouts and collisions, said the Washington State Department of Transportation. Compact snow and ice have accumulated on the roadway.
Closer to Seattle, the right lane of a westbound I-90 onramp from West Lake Sammamish Parkway is blocked with fallen trees, WSDOT said.
Highway 18 is closed east of Issaquah-Hobart Road to the I-90 interchange due to a disabled vehicle.
On Stevens Pass east of Skykomish, all lanes in both directions of Highway 2 at Tye River Road Northeast are blocked due to a collision with no estimated time of reopening, WSDOT said. Drivers should expect delays or plan another way around.
White Pass on Highway 12 is closed in both direction for avalanche assessment.
East of Enumclaw, both directions of Highway 410 are closed due to snow, WSDOT said. Plows are on their way, but there is no estimated time of reopening. Drivers should delay traveling to the area or find another way around.
