TENINO — A bevy of errors and a stagnant offense proved too much to overcome for Tenino as the Beavers took back-to-back losses to Elma during a home doubleheader on Tuesday.

The Beavers have now lost 13 games in a row, with their last win coming against Toledo on March 16.

In Game 1, the Beavers held a 1-0 lead in the third inning and trailed 2-1 entering the top of the seventh before surrendering six runs to the Eagles in an 8-1 loss.

Baxter kept the Beavers in it, allowing just one run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts across seven innings — but Tenino was hampered by eight errors.

Alivia Hunter led Tenino’s offense, going 2 for 4 with an RBI, while Abby Severse was 2 for 4 and Brooke Bratton was 1 for 1 with a run and a walk.

In Game 2, the Eagles scored 14 runs across three innings to hand the Beavers a 15-1 defeat in six innings.

The Beavers kept it close through three innings, trailing 1-0, before Elma plated five runs in the fourth, three in the fifth and six more in the six to complete the run-rule victory.

Baxter threw all six innings in the circle, striking out eight while allowing six earned runs on 10 hits and six walks.

The Beavers’ offense was led by Hunter going 2 for 3, while Courtney Backman was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Severse scored a run and Bratton was 1 for 2.

Tenino heads to Elma for a rematch at 4 p.m. on Friday.
