Sirens: Woman Assaulted, Groped; Money Bag Stolen; Theft of Garbage Service; Criminal Impersonation

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Missing Person 

• A possible missing person case was reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard just before 9:55 a.m. on March 6. 

 

Burglary 

• At 10:45 a.m. on March 6, a burglary to an office in the 200 block of West Main Street that occurred over the weekend was reported. A money bag was reported stolen. 

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• At approximately 4:35 p.m. on March 6, a male subject was reportedly “screaming and yelling” in the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue. 

• A patron was reportedly harassing an employee at a business in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue just before 10:15 p.m. on March 7. 

 

Assault 

• A possible assault was reported in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue at 2:25 a.m. on March 7. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A vehicle was reportedly trespassing on property in the 500 block of Northwest Sitka Street just after 6 p.m. on March 6. 

• Two “known shoplifters” were trespassed from a shopping center in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at approximately 6:55 p.m. on March 6. 

 

Fraud 

• A case of non-specific fraud reported in the 700 block of Southwest 20th Street just after 7:05 p.m. on March 6 is under investigation. 

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Assault 

• An assault reported at a park in the 100 block of South Silver Street just after 3:20 p.m. on March 6 is under investigation. 



• Isaac P. Madaffer, 41, of Kennewick, was arrested in the 300 block of North Gold Street just after 4:40 p.m. on March 7 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation after he allegedly knocked a woman to the ground and groped her. He reportedly fled the area and was found “trying to hide on a train that was stopping in the switching track area where officers located him,” according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

Vehicle Accident 

• A vehicle towing a trailer reportedly struck the mirror of a parked vehicle in the 100 block of East Main Street just after 4:35 p.m. on March 6. 

 

Theft 

• A 6-foot-by-12-foot cargo trailer with the Washington license plate 10522AD was reported stolen from the parking area of a residence in the 800 block of South Tower Avenue just before 5:45 p.m. on March 6. 

• Theft of garbage service was reported at a business in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:10 a.m. on March 7. 

• A Lacey woman was arrested in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 3 p.m. on March 7 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft, second-degree identity theft and an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant. A Rochester man was arrested for theft and possession of a controlled substance during the same incident. 

 

Criminal Impersonation 

• An Arizona man was arrested in the 1400 block of Lum Road just after 12:20 p.m. on March 7 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on an out-of-state felony warrant and for criminal impersonation after allegedly lying about his identity to an officer. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• Damage to windows of a business in the 1400 block of South Gold Street that “appeared to be caused by a BB or pellet gun” was reported just before 4:20 p.m. on March 7. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A subject was trespassed from a business in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just after 11:35 p.m. on March 7 after he reportedly came onto the property under the influence of drugs. “His behavior alarmed the employees enough to request that he be trespassed for life,” according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 175 inmates, including 162 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 127 were reported male and 35 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
