CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Holly G. Smith, 18, Centralia, was allegedly found to have perpetrated the malicious mischief that was previously under investigation in the 900 block of Highland Avenue at about 7:01 a.m. Oct. 8. Smith allegedly confessed to the crime after she was confronted with evidence and witness statements. She was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail.
• Carlina F. Anderson, 36, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly removing her clothing in a public setting in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 6:39 p.m. Oct. 8.
Accidents
• Caitlin M. Allred, 32, Chehalis, was allegedly found to have perpetrated the hit-and-run that was under investigation in the 100 block of South Silver Street at about 11:58 a.m. Oct. 7. Officers reportedly matched the pieces of vehicle that were left behind at the scene with Allred’s vehicle, and eventually obtained a confession. Allred was referred for charges.
• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the corner of South Tower Avenue and West Walnut Street at about 4:37 p.m. Oct. 9.
Criminal Trespass
• Officers responded to a report of a female loitering on the property of a local business in the 1200 block of Mellen Street at about 8:34 p.m. Oct. 8. The female was advised that she was being trespassed and left the premises.
• Officers responded to a report of a female refusing to exit a vehicle after receiving a ride from a concerned citizen in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road at about 8:43 p.m. Oct. 8. The female was advised that a local business was requesting she be trespassed for life from the premises and left the premises.
• Teresa L. Leys, 56, Centralia, was arrested after allegedly going onto property she had been trespassed from in the 100 block of South Silver Street at about 2:33 p.m. Oct. 9.
• Two females from Rochester were trespassed from a local business in the 1200 block of Mellen Street at about 11:45 p.m. Oct. 9.
Theft
• A theft of a firearm, jewelry and money was reported in the 2400 block of Leisure Lane at about 3:19 p.m. Oct. 8.
• Officers responded to a report of theft from a residence in the 1100 block of Ward Street at about 7:53 p.m. Oct. 8. The case is under investigation.
• Theft of a microwave and gaming system was reported in the 100 block of North Barner Drive at about 2:29 p.m. Oct. 9.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Jose T. Diaz-Silva, 60, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into Lewis County Jail for alleged first-degree arson after a house fire was reported in the 10 block of Southwest First Street at about 2:03 p.m. Oct. 2.
• James A. Fodge, 29, Centralia, was booked for one count of alleged second-degree burglary in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 11:02 p.m. Oct. 4.
Accidents
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7.
• A Jeep reportedly backed into a building near the 200 block of South Market Boulevard at about 4:38 p.m. Oct. 8.
Assault
• A physical dispute between a 17-year-old male and 17-year-old female was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at about 8:59 a.m. Oct. 3. The male sped off in a Honda CR-V, according to the reporting party.
Malicious Mischief
• Malicious mischief was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 9:15 a.m. Oct. 2.
• A juvenile male was reportedly tagging the sidewalk in the 700 block of Northwest West Street at about 9:19 a.m. Oct. 2.
• Malicious mischief was reported in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard at about 8:49 a.m. Oct. 5.
• A 14-year-old male was booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention for alleged third-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way at about 11:21 a.m. Oct. 7.
Theft
• A theft from the previous day was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 2:37 p.m. Oct. 4. The reporting party had surveillance video ready for officers to pick up.
• Theft of a license plate was reported in the 1600 block of Southeast Aust Manor Drive at about 1:22 p.m. Oct. 5.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Oct. 10, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 169 inmates, including 155 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 135 were reported male and 20 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and three were reported female.
