Sirens: Vehicle Prowls; Candy Bars Stolen; Assault; Harassment; Disorderly Conduct

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Vehicle Accidents 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1400 block of Kresky Avenue just after 8:30 a.m. on April 10. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of South Pearl and West Walnut streets just after 2:15 p.m. on April 10. 

 

Vehicle Prowl 

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 800 block of K Street just after 12:45 p.m. on April 10. 

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 2800 block of Cooks Hill Road just after 1:25 p.m. on April 10. 

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 110 block of West Maple Street at approximately 1:45 p.m. on April 10. 

 

Vehicle Theft 

• A black 1999 Honda Civic with the Washington license plate BYW1752 was reported stolen from the 300 block of South Silver Street at approximately 4:15 p.m. on April 10. 

 

Other Theft 

• Candy bars were reported stolen from a business in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 10:05 p.m. on April 10. The suspect left before officers arrived, but the suspect was identified via surveillance video. The business owner asked officers to trespass the suspect from the business. 

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 1800 block of Cooks Hill Road just before 3:50 p.m. on April 11.

Assault 

• A Centralia woman was cited for fourth-degree assault in the 1400 block of Johnson Road just after 1:50 p.m. on April 11 after she reportedly threw a phone, which hit someone. 

• A Centralia woman was arrested in the 1700 block of North Pearl Street just before 3:15 p.m. on April 11 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Harassment 

• A case of possible stalking and harassment was reported in the 300 block of Northeast Washington Avenue at approximately 8:15 a.m. on April 10. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A case of trespassing was reported in the 600 block of West Main Street at 8:30 a.m. on April 10. 

• Just after 2:05 p.m. on April 10, a caller asked law enforcement to escort homeless people off of a property in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court. 



• A disorderly subject who was “cussing (employees) out and making threats towards customers” at a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5:40 p.m. on April 10 was trespassed from the business. 

• Just before 1:30 p.m. on April 11, a caller asked officers to trespass two vehicles that had been parking on private property in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue “on and off for a year.” 

• A case of trespassing was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 8:35 p.m. on April 11. 

 

Disorderly Conduct  

• A group of teens were reportedly smoking and “being disruptive” at a park in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street just after 5 p.m. on April 11. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• Just after 9:05 a.m. on April 10, a caller reported someone broke into her vehicle and tried to hotwire it in the 500 block of Southeast Prospect Street. The victim’s garage door opener was reported missing. 

 

Disputes

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 200 block of Southwest Lewis Street just after 2:25 p.m. on April 10. 

• A possible verbal dispute was reported in the 1200 block of Northwest Cedar Way just after 11:10 p.m. on April 10. 

 

Suspicious Circumstances

• At 9:20 a.m. on April 11, a caller reported a woman in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard had been “yelling about killing somebody” for the last 10 minutes. 

• At approximately 5:40 p.m. on April 11, a caller reported finding what they believed to be a “possible human jawbone and maybe other bones” on a trail in the 1500 block of Rice Road. The bones were determined to be deer bones. 

Theft 

• A case of attempted vehicle theft was reported in the 300 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 3:05 p.m. on April 11. The vehicle’s back window and ignition were reported broken. 

• A welder valued at $1,200 was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on April 11. The suspect vehicle is a gray 2001 Nissan Sentra. 

• Just after 4:55 a.m. on April 12, a caller in the 800 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue reported a male pointed a gun at the caller and tried to steal the caller’s vehicle before leaving on foot. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 167 inmates, including 153 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 116 were reported male and 37 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and three were reported female.
