CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Kelsie J. Flegel, 29, of Graham, was arrested and booked for attempting to elude a police vehicle; community custody violation; driving without a valid operator’s license and no ID; and an active felony Department of Corrections warrant. Flegel allegedly attempted to flee during a traffic stop at the 500 block of North Tower Avenue, disabled her vehicle, then attempted to flee on foot before ultimately being apprehended by officers at about 5:34 a.m. Aug. 27.
Theft
• Property was reported stolen at about 10:22 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 1700 block of Cooks Hill Road. This case is under investigation.
• A work trailer’s license plate was reported stolen in the 900 block of Rotary Lane at about 3:47 p.m. Aug. 27.
• A local business in the 300 block of Reynolds Avenue reported shoplifting at about 6:29 p.m. Aug. 28.
• A report of a domestic dispute that turned into theft was made at about 6:52 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 2800 block of Russell Road. There are no active leads to follow, according to the Centralia Police Department.
Malicious Mischief
• A vehicle was damaged sometime during the night or early morning hours. An unknown suspect spray painted the vehicle in the 600 block of Alder Street. The damage was reported at around 8:40 a.m. Aug. 28. This case is under investigation.
Counterfeiting
• A woman attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase items at a store at about 10:26 a.m. Aug. 28. Once the attendant discovered that the bill was fake, the female subject left the area in the 200 block of South Pearl Street. This case is under investigation.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Austin T. Collins, 31, of La Center, was arrested and released at about 5:56 p.m. Aug. 26 for a possible charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after being found in his vehicle parked in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way.
Theft
• A bicycle was reported stolen at about 9:10 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 10 block of Southwest 11th Street.

JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 171 inmates, including 158 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 131 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
