CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assaults

• A subject was cited for alleged fourth-degree assault in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just before 9 a.m. on Dec. 15 for allegedly assaulting a staff member and knocking tea into the staff member’s lap.

• A subject was arrested in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree assault.

 

Unlawful Imprisonment

• A subject was arrested in the 200 block of Southwest William Avenue just before 10:40 p.m. on Dec. 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly trapping a victim in their car.

 

Theft and Burglary

• A catalytic converter theft was reported in the 400 block of Northwest Washington Avenue at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Dec. 15.

• A vehicle theft reported in the 1000 block of Southeast Evergreen Drive just before 5:15 a.m. on Dec. 16 is under investigation.

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 1900 block of North National Avenue just after 10:35 a.m. on Dec. 16 is under investigation.

• A subject was reportedly seen cutting security tags off of items in a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 16.

• An attempted shoplift was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just after 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 16.

• Shoplifting was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1:10 p.m. on Dec. 16.

• A subject was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 10 p.m. on Dec. 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly shoplifting.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 10 block of Southeast 16th Street just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 15. The vehicle reportedly rammed into a guard rail and took off.

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 15.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, multi-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at 4:20 p.m. on Dec. 15.



• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Southwest Cascade Avenue and Southwest Eighth Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 16.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5:55 p.m. on Dec. 16.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crash

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1800 block of Harrison Avenue at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 15.

 

Indecent Exposure

• A subject was cited for indecent exposure just before 8 p.m. on Dec. 15 for allegedly taking her shirt off and exposing her breast to employees and customers of a business in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was cited for criminal trespass at 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 15 for allegedly entering an open gate of a side fenced area in the 500 block of North Pearl Street and starting a propane barbecue before leaving.

 

Assault

• A subject was cited for fourth-degree assault just after 11:35 p.m. on Dec. 15 for allegedly pushing and punching someone in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 136 inmates, including 121 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 101 were reported male and 20 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
