Sirens: Two criminal impersonation arrests; burglary at construction site; suspect runs from officers; possible arson reported

Criminal impersonation

• Robert A. Nixon, 50, of Ohio, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree criminal impersonation for allegedly providing false ID information to officers while having an active warrant for his arrest at about 8:16 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 300 block of Waunch Street. He is also being referred for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and obstructing a law enforcement officer due to his actions at the scene when the first officer arrived. A female involved is also being referred for an obstruction charge.

• Mark T. Snodderly, 58, of Olympia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly providing false ID information to officers when contacted as the suspect in a vehicle prowl that occurred in the area. He was arrested at about 11:57 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 1200 block of Lum Road.

Crashes

• Officers responded to a collision where vehicle damage was reported at about 11:26 a.m. Dec. 29 at the intersection of Reynolds and Harrison avenues.

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision where the at-fault driver was given an infraction at about 11:45 a.m. Dec. 29 at the intersection of West Main Street and North Tower Avenue.

• Officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision at about 1:49 p.m. Dec. 29 at the intersection of East Locust Street and South Buckner Street. The at-fault driver was issued an infraction after striking several vehicles due the floor mat causing the gas pedal to get stuck.

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at about 3:50 p.m. Dec. 29 at the intersection of Kresky Avenue and Fair Street.

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at about 5:50 p.m. Dec. 29 at Harrison Avenue and the southbound Interstate 5 collector distributor lanes.

Burglary at construction site

• A burglary was reported at a construction site at about 11:31 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 600 block of Salzer Creek Drive. The case is under investigation.

Stolen trailer recovered by owner

• Officers received a Flock camera hit for a stolen trailer at about 11:49 a.m. Dec. 19. The vehicle towing the trailer was located driving down South Pearl Street and was stopped by officers. The owner of the trailer had recovered it and did not report the recovery to law enforcement.

Axe held during robbery

• Cielo C. Sanchez, 36, of Belfair, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for robbery after he allegedly stole several items from a local business in the 300 block of North Tower Avenue while making death threats and holding an axe at about 12:27 p.m. Dec. 28.

Protector order violation

• Terence J. Mcardle Jr., 45, of Pennsylvania, was arrested after allegedly going within 1,000 feet of property he was court ordered to stay away from at about 4:10 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue.

Suspect runs from officers



• Elijah Z. St. Clair, 25, of Walla Walla, was arrested after being contacted during a dispute at about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 28 near the intersection of South Cedar Street and West Plum Street. He was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest and ran from officers upon contact.

Trespassing

• Don K. Gonzales, 36, of Centralia, was arrested after allegedly going onto property he was previously trespassed from at about 4:35 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 400 block of East Summa Street.

Arson

• Officers are investigating the report of a burning object thrown at a building. The report was made at about 8:38 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 100 block of West Summa Street.

Assault

• Makaila C. Lawrence, 33, of Centralia, was arrested after allegedly being involved in a physical dispute with a household member at about 10:22 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 700 block of G Street.

• Officers are investigating an assault that was reported at about 11:11 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue. No additional information was provided by police.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Chehalis Police Department has not yet released its most recent call reports. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Dec. 30, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 161 inmates, including 148 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 122 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Dec. 30, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 12 inmates. Of those, seven were from Centralia and one was from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one inmate from the Lummi Nation, one from the Quileute Nation, one from the Tulalip Tribe and one from the Suquamish.
