CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Ramon A. Vidales, 40, Centralia, was arrested near the corner of Harrison Avenue and southbound Interstate 5 at about 2:38 p.m. May 26 for reckless endangerment after allegedly hitting items into the roadway with a golf club. Vidales allegedly struck a vehicle with the items. Police said Vidales was found with suspected narcotics upon arrest.
• Jeremiah B. Welder, 49, Olympia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged organized retail theft with special circumstances in the 1400 block of Lum Road at about 6:24 p.m. May 26. According to police, Welder allegedly stole pants from a local store and used wire cutters to remove the security device.
• Brody A. Rice, 27, Toledo, Eliot C. Widmer, 25, Moses Lake, and Andrea M. Fish, 21, Onalaska, were booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged warrants in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue at about 9:43 p.m. May 26. Fish was also charged with identity theft after allegedly providing a fake name to officers. According to police, K9 Havik detected the odor of narcotics on the vehicle. Officers executed a warrant and reportedly found drugs, money and scales inside. Police said Fish and Widmer were referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Accidents
• A vehicle reportedly struck a pole near the corner of East Main Street and North Gold Street at about 7:11 p.m. May 26. Minor injuries were reported.
Criminal trespass
• A transient male was trespassed from a property in the 300 block of North Tower Avenue at about 11:33 a.m. May 25 after a caller suspected him of attempting to commit a vehicle prowl. According to police, the male had opened the door of an unoccupied vehicle and closed it.
• A transient was trespassed from a local business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 10:19 a.m. May 26.
Hit-and-run
• Melinda L. Hollis, 72, Napavine, was arrested after allegedly being involved in a collision and then fleeing the scene near the corner of West Walnut Street and South Pearl Street at about 1:35 p.m. May 26.
Malicious mischief
• Graffiti was reported in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:35 p.m. May 26.
Pornography
• Officers investigated a report of inappropriate images found on a computer in the 800 block of West Main Street at about 1:54 p.m. May 26.
Theft
• A bicycle was reported stolen in the 600 block of North Pearl Street at about 10:14 a.m. May 26.
• Juan M. Martinez-Rojas, 48, Centralia, was arrested after allegedly stealing alcohol from a local store in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at about 7:40 a.m. May 27. Police said Martinez-Rojas was too intoxicated to be booked into jail so he was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Arrests and citations
• Joseph Whitney-House was booked into the Lewis County Jail for an outstanding Lewis County Superior Court warrant, as well as alleged possession of used drug paraphernalia and second-degree attempted vehicle prowl, following an incident in the 100 block of Northeast Coal Creek Road at about 12:06 a.m. May 22. Darrin N.D. Rice and Megan E. Sanders were also issued citations for alleged second-degree attempted vehicle prowl. Police responded to the area after a caller reported “homeless people” messing with her car’s door handle while trying to get inside.
• Aaron M. Jernigan Parish was issued a criminal citation for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 600 block of West Main Street at about 11:05 p.m. May 22.
• Miguel P. Encarnacion was arrested and cited for one count of alleged protection order violation in the 800 block of West Main Street at about 2:34 a.m. May 23.
• Angel Sanchez Garcia was cited and released for one count of alleged use or delivery of drug paraphernalia in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at about 2:45 a.m. May 25.
• James G. White was taken into custody, transported, issued a criminal citation and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged indecent exposure in the 1400 block of Southwest William Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. May 25.
Assault
• A juvenile was arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention for alleged fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle Street at about 10:51 a.m. May 24.
DUI
• Jason C. Thomas was issued a criminal citation and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence near the corner of Northwest Front Street and Northwest West Street at about 2:11 p.m. May 23.
• Gonzalo Rio Trujillo was issued a criminal citation and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence near the corner of Southwest Second Street and Southwest Cascade Avenue at about 3:41 a.m. May 24.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of May 27, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 145 inmates, including 132 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 110 were reported male and 22 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of May 27, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 15 inmates. Of those, six were from Centralia and seven were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Quileute Nation and the Shoalwater Bay Tribe.
