Sirens: Thefts; Motorcycle Crash; Harassment

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 20 is under investigation. 

• Just after 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 20, a hit-and-run that occurred in the 300 block of Northwest Pacific Avenue at 1:45 p.m. was reported. 

• Just after 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 21, a hit-and-run that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue the day before was reported. 

Theft 

• A subject was cited for attempted shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 6:10 p.m. on Sept. 20. 

Malicious Mischief 

• A subject was arrested in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 21 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly kicked in the door to another person’s motel room. 

Motorcycle Crash 

• A woman was injured when her motorcycle crashed at a roundabout in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2 p.m. on Sept. 21. 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Broken Window 

• At approximately 9:55 a.m. on Sept. 20, a caller reported a window at their residence in the 900 block of Rotary Lane was broken sometime during the last week. 

Theft 

• Just after 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 20, personal property was reported stolen from a vehicle sometime during the last week. 

• Medication was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 20. The incident is under investigation. 

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 2000 block of Borst Avenue just before 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 20. The incident is under investigation. 

• A subject was cited for third-degree theft in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 6:05 p.m. on Sept. 20 after allegedly walking out of a store with over $500 worth of unpaid groceries. 

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue just after 7:35 p.m. on Sept. 20. 

• At 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 21, political signs were reported stolen from various locations around Centralia. 

• Cigarettes were reported stolen from a residence in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue just after 9:20 a.m. on Sept. 22. 

Hit-and-Run 



• A hit-and-run involving a parked vehicle in the 100 block of South Rock Street that was reported just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 21 is under investigation. 

Harassment 

• Just after 3:10 p.m. on Sept. 21, there was a report of “general threats” made on social media toward a business in the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive. 

MORTON POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Morton Incidents 

• An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Temple Avenue at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 regarding suspicious circumstances. The officer was able to verify the home was secure and an informational report was taken. 

• An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Collar Avenue at 6:10 a.m. on Sept. 14 regarding a death investigation. The death was determined to be due to natural causes. 

• An officer was dispatched to the Chevron Gas Plus regarding a disorderly male subject just before 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 16. The individual was trespassed from the property. 

• An officer was dispatched to Colton Pharmacy at 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 16 regarding an accident. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to a traffic hazard on state Route 7 just after 8:50 a.m. on Sept. 18. 

Mossyrock Incidents 

• An officer was contacted by the office of the Mossyrock Elementary School just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 13 with a request to have an individual trespassed from the school. The officer notified the individual they were trespassed.

• An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Laurel Street regarding a dispute just after 9:50 p.m. on Sept. 14. No arrests were made. 

• An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 regarding a disorderly neighbor. The officer advised both parties to separate as no crime had been committed. 

LEWIS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT 

• Charges against Terry Nunn, 42, of Silver Creek, that were filed in Lewis County Superior Court in April have been dismissed due to a plea agreement between the two parties. 

• Charges against Jesse F. Denham, 21, of Olympia, that were filed in Lewis County Superior Court in March have been dismissed. The case will instead be handled as a federal parole violation. 

• Charges against Clayton M. Bardwell, 37, of Rochester, that were filed in Lewis County Superior Court in April 2020 have been dismissed due to the state’s inability to contact the alleged victims. 

• Charges against Cassandra Aparicio, 36, of Centralia, that were filed in Lewis County Superior Court in January have been dismissed due to the state’s inability to contact the alleged victim and alleged witnesses. 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS 

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 132 inmates, including 119 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 103 were reported male and 16 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
