CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A Tacoma woman was cited for third-degree theft, identity theft and knowingly possessing fentanyl just after 10:05 a.m. on Oct. 19 after she was stopped for allegedly shoplifting from a business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

• A Pacific County woman was arrested just before 10:25 a.m. on Oct. 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for knowingly possessing fentanyl and third-degree theft after she allegedly shoplifted from a business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

• Merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 1400 block of Lum Road at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Oct. 20. The suspects reportedly fled in a vehicle and did not stop for officers who attempted a traffic stop. The officers did not pursue.

 

Burglary

• Property was reported stolen during a burglary to a residence in the 600 block of M Street just before 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 19. The case is under investigation and officers are reviewing video footage from the neighborhood.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Graffiti was reported on private property in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard at 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 19.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Harrison and Fords Prairie avenues at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Oct. 19. One vehicle reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck on the passenger side.

• Injuries were reported following a vehicle collision in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.

 

Disorderly Conduct

• A Tigard, Oregon, man was cited for unlawful transit conduct at 9:05 p.m. on Oct 19 after “causing issues on a train” in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue while “possibly intoxicated.”

 

Trespassing

• A man who was found sleeping in a sleeping bag on a business’ property in the 1000 block of Johnson Street was trespassed from the property just after 1:25 p.m. on Oct. 20. The property owner reportedly asked the man to leave several times before calling the police.

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 200 block of East High Street just after 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree trespassing.

 

Assault

• A fourth-degree assault involving a juvenile was reported in the 900 block of Johnson Road just before 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 20.

• A Centralia woman was cited for two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 2800 block of Russell Road just before 7:05 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Trespassed From Property

• A man and a woman who reportedly “urinated and pooped” behind a building in the 500 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way were trespassed from the property at 11:35 a.m. on Oct. 19.

• A disorderly subject was trespassed from a business in the 800 block of Southwest Market Boulevard just after 6 p.m. on Oct. 20.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury vehicle accident that caused damage at the intersection of West Main Street and North Liberty Place just after noon on Oct. 19 is under investigation.

• A vehicle accident with injuries reported that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Oct. 20 is under investigation.

 

Suspicious Circumstances

• Just before 2:25 p.m. on Oct. 19, a caller reported a male in the passenger seat of a vehicle was “smacking a young girl” while a woman was “screaming.” No arrests were made.

• A subject who “appeared to be under the influence” was reportedly “flailing his arms and (had) scattered his belongings” in the middle of the street at the intersection of Southeast Evergreen Drive and Southeast Prospect Street at 9:35 p.m. on Oct. 20.

 

Theft

• A man was arrested in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 12:20 p.m. on Oct. 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly shoplifting.

• A theft reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 19 is under investigation.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 is under investigation.

• A man was reportedly going through dumpsters in the 400 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at approximately 7:55 p.m. on Oct. 20.

• A subject was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. on Oct. 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged shoplifting.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A case of third-degree malicious mischief reported at the intersection of Northwest Park and Northwest Front streets just before 4:50 p.m. on Oct. 20 is under investigation.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 182 inmates, including 169 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 138 were reported male and 31 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
