CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Drug violations
• A 44-year-old Centralia man was arrested at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Warren Street just after 9:50 a.m. on May 9 for possession of suspected meth and on outstanding warrants for escape from community custody and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
• A 46-year-old Centralia man was arrested for possession of narcotics following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street at 12:35 p.m. on May 10. A 39-year-old Centralia woman was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
• A 37-year-old Centralia woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for possession of narcotics at the intersection of East Main Street and North Barnet Drive just after 6:55 a.m. on May 11.
• A 25-year-old Winlock man was cited for possession of narcotics in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue just after 8:45 p.m. on May 11.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run reported in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just before 10:10 a.m. on May 9 is under investigation.
Theft
• A jacket containing personal identification was reported stolen from the intersection of South Tower Avenue and East Locust Street at approximately 1:40 p.m. on May 9.
• Property was reported stolen from an outlet store in the 1400 block of Lum Road at 2:10 p.m. on May 11. The case is under investigation.
• A 32-year-old Seattle resident and a 33-year-old Seattle resident were arrested for stealing items from an outlet store in the 100 block of West High Street at 2:55 p.m. on May 11.
• A 31-year-old Tacoma man was arrested for shoplifting in the 100 block of West High Street just before 6:30 p.m. on May 11. He was located by Thurston County Sheriff’s Office deputies and arrested following a short pursuit.
Assault
• A 60-year-old Toledo man was cited for fourth-degree assault after he allegedly punched and kicked patrons and staff at a bar in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:20 p.m. on May 9. The man “was unable to be booked into jail due to health concerns,” according to the Centralia Police Department.
DUI
• A 22-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for DUI at the intersection of Marion Street and Little Hanaford Road just after 4:45 a.m. on May 10.
Criminal trespass
• A homeless Centralia man was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1:55 p.m. on May 10 for “making customers feel uncomfortable,” according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A homeless Centralia man was trespassed from a business in the 1200 block of South Silver Street just after 3:05 p.m. on May 10 for “making customers feel uncomfortable,” according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A homeless man was trespassed from private property in the 100 block of South Silver Street for “likely urinating on their property” just before 3:25 p.m. on May 10.
Malicious mischief
• Damage to a glass door was reported in the 300 block of East Pine Street just before 10:15 p.m. on May 10.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 62 illness-related calls, 20 injury-related calls, nine fire-related calls, three non-emergency service calls, three vehicle accidents, one overdose, one 911-hangup call, two Lifeline medical alerts, one rescue, one ambulance request and three other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 160 inmates, including 147 in the general population and 11 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 116 were reported male and 31 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 22 inmates, including nine booked by the Centralia Police Department, six booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, one booked by the City of Napavine, three booked by the La Push Quileute Nation and one booked by the Skokomish Tribe.
