Possession of stolen property
• Two Vancouver residents reportedly had stolen property in their possession when they were contacted for sleeping on private property in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue just after 8:05 a.m. on March 24. They reportedly claimed the stolen property was given to them.
Theft
• A package was reported stolen from the 200 block of West Plum Street just before 11:10 a.m. on March 24.
• A theft reported at a business in the 2000 block of Haviland Street just after 3:15 p.m. on March 24 is under investigation.
• A ring was reported lost or stolen at a medical facility in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just before 12 p.m. on March 25.
Robbery
• A second-degree robbery involving juveniles that was reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at 3:40 a.m. on March 25 is under investigation.
Criminal trespass
• A 33-year-old Bucoda woman was arrested for trespassing at a business, obstructing a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. on March 25.
DUI
• A 33-year-old Centralia man was arrested for DUI at the intersection of West Summa and South Silver streets just after 1:25 a.m. on March 26.

Suspicious circumstances
• A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street just after 10:15 a.m. on March 24 is under investigation.
• Suspicious circumstances reported in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard just after 5:10 p.m. on March 24 are under investigation.
• A subject reportedly heard a young girl make a “blood curdling” scream in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard just after 5:10 p.m. on March 24.
• Two subjects were reportedly going through mailboxes in the 100 block of Northeast Coal Creek Road just before 9:15 p.m. on March 25.
Burglary
• A second-degree burglary reported in the 400 block of Sterling Heights just after 2:20 p.m. on March 24 is under investigation.
• A second-degree burglary reported in the 2000 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just before 9:45 a.m. on March 25 is under investigation.
Disorderly conduct
• A disorderly man was reportedly yelling and asking people to call the police in the 1300 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just after 2:55 p.m. on March 24.
• A man was reportedly talking to himself and waving his arms around at the intersection of Southwest Interstate Avenue and Southwest Parkland Drive at 4:15 p.m. on March 24.
• A disorderly woman was reportedly hitting herself and screaming in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 10:10 a.m. on March 25.
Dispute
• A disturbance or dispute reported in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard just before 11:35 p.m. on March 24 is under investigation.
Criminal trespass
• A man who was reportedly threatening employees at a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana avenue at approximately 11:45 p.m. on March 24 was moved along.
• A man who reportedly loitered at a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue overnight was trespassed from the business just after 8:50 a.m. on March 25.
• A man who was reportedly loitering in a parking lot and asking for cigarettes in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2:15 a.m. on March 26 was trespassed from a business in the area.
Scam
• A scam reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at approximately 10:15 a.m. on March 25 is under investigation.
Theft
• A vehicle theft was reported at the intersection of Southwest McFadden Avenue and Southwest Third Street just after 9 p.m. on March 25.
Assault
• A student was arrested for third-degree assault at a school in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just before 10:20 a.m. on March 25 for allegedly pulling a teacher’s hair and hitting her in the head, knocking her unconscious.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of North Market Boulevard just before 1:20 p.m. on March 25.
Animal abuse/negligence
• A dog was reportedly locked in a car that had its windows cracked in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana avenue at approximately 12:15 p.m. on March 25. An officer confirmed the dog was not in distress and had access to water. The dog’s owners left with the dog.
• At 1:55 p.m. on March 25, a caller reported that two dogs had been in crates in a vehicle for over an hour near Penny Playground in the 200 block of Southwest Third Street. An officer confirmed the dog’s owner was checking on the dogs regularly and that the dogs had access to food and water. The officer noted that there were “no signs of neglect or mistreatment.”
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Monday morning and Wednesday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 45 illness-related calls, 15 injury-related calls, 12 fire-related calls, seven non-emergency service calls, three vehicle accidents, two Lifeline medical alerts, one public assist request, one hazardous conditions report, one medical helicopter request, one report of a dead body and three other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 142 inmates, including 129 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 103 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 22 inmates, including nine booked by the Centralia Police Department, six booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by the Lummi Nation, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
