CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Malicious mischief
• Damage to a gate lock reported in the 300 block of South King Street just before 9:05 a.m. on March 7 is under investigation.
• A 42-year-old Chehalis man was arrested for violation of a protection order and for damaging a vehicle in the 900 block of Mikayla Lane at 6:45 a.m. on March 8.
Assault
• A domestic violence assault reported in the 900 block of East Locust Street just before 9:45 a.m. on March 7 is under investigation.
• A 30-year-old Centralia man was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 1800 block of North Pearl Street at approximately 11:10 p.m. on March 8.
• A 37-year-old Winlock resident was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and obstructing a law enforcement officer in the 600 block of South King Street at approximately 1:40 a.m. on March 10.
Theft
• A theft of wire and building materials from a home in the 500 block of Salzer Creek Drive that was reported at 9:55 a.m. on March 7 is under investigation.
• A bag was reported stolen from a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road at 5:30 p.m. on March 7. The case is under investigation.
• Grocery items were reported stolen from a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 11:25 p.m. on March 8. The case is under investigation.
Criminal trespass
• A homeless Centralia man was trespassed from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 12:55 p.m. on March 7 after he reportedly refused to leave the business’s bathroom.
• A homeless Mossyrock resident was trespassed from a business in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just before 8:55 a.m. on March 8 for disorderly conduct.
• A 47-year-old Winlock man was arrested for trespassing in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 10:20 a.m. on March 8.
• A homeless Lakewood resident was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of South Silver Street at 1:25 p.m. on March 8 for disorderly conduct.
• A 29-year-old Toledo man was arrested for trespassing in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 5:25 p.m. on March 9.
Fraud
• A case of possible fraud reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at 2:15 p.m. on March 7 is under investigation.
Drug violation
• A 48-year-old Olympia woman was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 5:25 p.m. on March 9 on a Centralia Municipal Court warrant and for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Disorderly conduct
• A 57-year-old Centralia man was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at 5:35 a.m. on March 10 for causing a disturbance at a health care facility.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Malicious mischief
• First-degree malicious mischief reported in the 700 block of Northwest Arkansas way at 9:40 a.m. on March 6 is under investigation.
• Graffiti was reported on the side of a fence in the 900 block of Southwest 18th Street just after 6:25 p.m. on March 6.
• Damage to a fence in the 900 block of Southwest 18th Street was reported just after 1:15 p.m. on March 8.
• A man was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle Street at 10:35 p.m. on March 8 after his wife reported he was “high on meth (and) breaking stuff outside.”
Drug violation
• A subject was cited for possession of a marjuana dab pen at W.F. West High School in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street at 10 a.m. on March 6.
Green Hill School
• A custodial assault reported at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street just after 11:40 a.m. on March 6 is under investigation.
Death
• A subject died in the 400 block of Northeast Jefferson Avenue after medical personnel responded to a report of a life-threatening diabetic problem just before 3 p.m. on March 6 and attempted lifesaving measures.
Vehicle accidents
• A 21-year-old woman sustained a head injury in a three-vehicle collision in the 2500 block of Jackson Highway that was reported at approximately 3:20 p.m. on March 6.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at 4:45 p.m. on March 6.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Boistfort Street and North Market Boulevard just after 6:35 p.m. on March 7.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3:10 p.m. on March 8.
Assault
• A citizen reported someone threw a soda can at her head and punched her in the face in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. on March 6.
Harassment
• At 5:50 p.m. on March 6, a parent in the 1000 block of Southwest William Avenue reported that a juvenile was reportedly harassing another juvenile by spreading rumors about her via text.
• A woman reported her ex-boyfriend was harassing her at her workplace in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 11:15 p.m. on March 9.
• An ongoing case of telephonic harassment was reported in the 10 block of Southwest Third Street at approximately 5:40 a.m. on March 10.
Juvenile problems
• A group of teens were reportedly banging on doors and windows in the 400 block of Northwest Pennsylvania Avenue while “trying to scare people” at approximately 10:20 p.m. on March 6.
• A student reportedly broke a stool and damaged a wall at a school in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just before 11:15 a.m. on March 7.
• A juvenile reportedly threw a rock at a car in the 500 block of Southwest 16th Street just before 2:45 p.m. on March 8.
• Two juveniles were reportedly riding ATVs without wearing helmets in the 1200 block of Bishop Road just after 5 p.m. on March 8. Officers contacted a child and parent, who agreed to have the child wear a helmet.
Disorderly conduct
• A homeless man was reportedly throwing items from the overpass onto a passing train in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way at 7:50 a.m. on March 7.
• A woman was reportedly yelling and screaming at the intersection of Southwest Cascade Avenue and Northwest Sixth Street at approximately 8:10 a.m. on March 7.
• A homeless man was reportedly acting disorderly at a business in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard at 2:15 p.m. on March 8 and had refused to leave the business’s bathroom for over an hour.
• A woman was reportedly yelling and screaming in the 200 block of Southwest John Street at approximately 9:05 p.m. on March 8.
• A man was reportedly screaming outside a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1:15 p.m. on March 9.
Criminal trespass
• A subject was cited for trespassing at the intersection of Southwest Riverside Drive and Southwest Newaukum Avenue just after 10:55 a.m. on March 7.
• Subjects were possibly setting up camp behind a business in the 1000 block of Northwest State Avenue just after 11:15 a.m. on March 9.
Theft
• A second-degree theft reported in the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue at 5:15 p.m. on March 7 is under investigation.
Child abuse or neglect
• A case of child abuse or neglect reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 12:55 p.m. on March 9 is under investigation.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 62 illness-related calls, 20 injury-related calls, 16 fire-related calls, three overdoses, eight vehicle accidents, three pregnancy-related calls, three Lifeline medical alerts, one hazardous conditions report, one medical helicopter request, one 911-hangup call, two shooting complaints and two other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 160 inmates, including 149 in the general population and 11 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 35 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 26 inmates, including 13 booked by the Centralia Police Department, four booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Tulalip Tribe, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe, one booked by the Quileute Tribe, one booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, two booked by the Lummi Nation, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement and two booked by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
