CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 2000 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just after 9:55 a.m. on April 25.

• A man and a woman were arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 12:45 p.m. on April 25 and were booked into the Lewis County Jail for attempted shoplifting.

• Mail was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Southwest 22nd Street just before 3 p.m. on April 26.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1300 block of South Market Boulevard just before 3:10 p.m. on April 26 is under investigation.

• A second-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 10:35 p.m. on April 26 is under investigation.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 2000 block of Southwest Salsbury Avenue at approximately 2:35 p.m. on April 25.

 

Disorderly Conduct

• A possibly-intoxicated man with a baseball bat was trespassed from a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3:30 p.m. on April 25.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A case of second-degree malicious mischief reported in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just before 1:10 a.m. on April 26 is under investigation.

 

Suspicious Circumstances

• Just after 1 p.m. on April 26, a caller reported someone was harassing her in the 100 block of Southwest Sixth Street while she was moving into a residence. No arrests were made.

• Just after 1:05 p.m. on April 26, a caller in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue reported a man who allegedly vandalized her vehicle had returned to the area and was eyeing other vehicles. No arrests were made.

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue just before 10:15 p.m. on April 26.

 



CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Sexual Misconduct

• A case involving possible sexual misconduct that was reported in the 500 block of Madison Street just before 2:35 p.m. on April 25 is under investigation.

• A case involving possible immoral communications with a minor that was reported in the 600 block of North Washington Avenue at approximately 8:30 a.m. on April 26 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A Centralia man was cited for shoplifting from a second-hand store in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue just after 6:35 p.m. on April 25. He was trespassed from the business for life.

 

Scam

• At approximately 8:55 a.m. on April 26, a business in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue reported someone is using their phone number to conduct phone scams. 

 

Malicious Mischief

• Just before 7 a.m. on April 26, glass on the main door to a business in the 1200 block of Lum Road was reported broken.

 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 150 inmates, including 130 in the general population and 20 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 107 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 18 were male and two were female.
