Fraud
• Prescription drug fraud reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at 8:40 a.m. on April 7 is under investigation.
Theft
• Theft of a veteran’s benefits reported in the 2500 block of Fords Prairie Avenue just before 11:25 a.m. on April 7 is under investigation.
• A 51-year-old Olympia man was arrested for shoplifting a $2 wire brush in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue just before 4:45 p.m. on April 7.
• A juvenile reportedly stole $8 worth of alcohol from the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at approximately 8:45 p.m. on April 7 and fled the area on foot.
• Tools were reported stolen from a construction site in the 1600 block of Salzer Creek Drive just after 3:50 p.m. on April 8.
• A purse was reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue just after 8:40 p.m. on April 8.
Assault
• An 18-year-old Centralia man and a 19-year-old Centralia man were arrested for the fourth-degree assault of another man in the 1000 block of South Yew Street just before 8:40 p.m. on April 7.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run reported at the intersection of North Pearl and West Sixth streets just after 2:50 p.m. on April 8 is under investigation.
Vehicle accidents
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 12:50 p.m. on April 8.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 4:45 p.m. on April 8.
Drug violation
• A 35-year-old Centralia man who was found in the back of a rental truck in the 1000 block of South Gold Street at approximately 3:25 p.m. on April 8 was arrested for possession of suspected meth.
Recovered property
• A 51-year-old Seattle man was arrested for driving a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Oregon in the 1000 block of South Yew Street just after 6:10 a.m. on April 9.

Criminal trespass
• A man reportedly barricaded himself in his hotel room in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue and refused to check out just after 12:55 p.m. on April 7.
• A man was reportedly trespassing in the 200 block of Southwest State Avenue just after 2:55 p.m. on April 7.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 3:10 p.m. on April 7.
Indecent exposure
• A man was reportedly “exposing himself and defecating” near the intersection of Northwest Front and Northwest Park streets at approximately 4:20 p.m. on April 7.
• A disorderly man reportedly “pulled out his genitalia” and was punching the air in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 6:20 p.m. on April 7.
Theft
• A third-degree theft reported in the 400 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. on April 7 is under investigation.
• A subject was arrested for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 11:05 a.m. on April 8.
Disorderly conduct
• A disorderly woman was reportedly screaming and talking to herself in the 200 block of Northwest Cascade Avenue just after 2:50 p.m. on April 8.
Suspicious circumstances
• A man with a knife was reportedly hiding in a bush in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just before 10:40 p.m. on April 8. The man refused to identify himself to an officer and was moved along.
Burglary
• A man was arrested for allegedly trying to break into his parents’ residence in the 300 block of Southwest 15th Street just after 4:40 p.m. on April 8.
Criminal trespass
• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 600 block of West Main Street at 12:50 a.m. on April 9.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Monday morning and Wednesday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 58 illness-related calls, 12 injury-related calls, six fire-related calls, three Lifeline medical alerts, six non-emergency service calls, four vehicle accidents, two medical helicopter requests, one ambulance request, one hazardous conditions report, one public assist request, one rescue, one report of a dead body and two other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 139 inmates, including 126 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 102 were reported male and 24 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 15 inmates, including seven booked by the Centralia Police Department, five booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation and one booked by the Lummi Nation.
