Sirens: 'Pranksters' caught at W.F. West; man arrested for taking bricks off building; possession of meth

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal trespass

• A 33-year-old Centralia man and a 20-year-old Morton man were arrested for trespassing in the 100 block of South Pearl Street just before 6:35 p.m. on June 5.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Malicious mischief

• A 23-year-old man was arrested for taking the bricks off of a building in the 200 block of Northwest Cascade Avenue just before 8:50 a.m. on June 3. He was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vehicle accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northeast Kresky Avenue and Northeast Hampe Way just after 3:10 p.m. on June 3.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 400 block of Northwest Prindle Street just after 7:10 p.m. on June 3.

Theft

• Just before 2:55 p.m. on June 3, a second-degree theft that occurred at 12:30 p.m. that day in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported.

• A theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 6:40 p.m. on June 3.



• A 24-year-old Centralia woman was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 11:45 a.m. on June 4.

Senior prank

• A custodian at W.F. West High School in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street reported there was a “prankster inside the building” just after 11:35 p.m. on June 3. Six to seven girls and one boy were reportedly at the school to write “Class of 2025” in the parking lot and to upend items in the school office.

Drug violation

• A 38-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested for possession of meth in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 5:40 p.m. on June 4.

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 57 illness-related calls, 15 injury-related calls, 10 fire-related calls, two non-emergency service calls, four vehicle accidents, one suicide-related call, one medical helicopter request, one hazardous conditions report and one other call.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 169 inmates, including 155 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 126 were reported male and 29 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 22 inmates, including five booked by the Centralia Police Department, nine booked by the state Department of Corrections, three booked by the Quileute Nation in La Push, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe, one booked by the Tenino Police Department and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
