Sirens: Porch pirate strikes; man makes threats over DoorDash pickup; indecent exposure arrest; Lewis County Jail statistics

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Sean C. Morgan, 37, Lewis County, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged first-degree burglary and indecent exposure in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 2:57 p.m. Sept. 8. Officers responded to the report of a male suspect who had exposed himself and touched the victim with his private parts. Officers located Morgan and noted he matched the suspect description. The victim later positively identified Morgan as the suspect. Morgan had previously been trespassed from this location.

• Joshua D. Johnson, 41, Centralia, was arrested after allegedly being involved in a physical altercation with a significant other in the 100 block of Jalyn Street at about 6:34 p.m. Sept. 8.

• Marcia L. Garlinghouse, 44, Centralia, was arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 800 block of Field Avenue at about 8:07 p.m. Sept. 8.

• Nicholas A. Huston, 32, Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street at about 8:47 p.m. Sept. 8 after being contacted in a vehicle and allegedly advising an officer that there were narcotics in the vehicle.

• Daniel J. Slate, 42, Rochester, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for allegedly stealing items from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 9:17 a.m. Sept. 9.

• Ryan M. McMahon, 40, Rochester, was arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 300 block of North Gold Street at about 10:24 p.m. Sept. 9. McMahon was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines upon arrest.

• Nicholas A. Huston, 32, Centralia, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 300 block of North Gold Street at about 10:24 p.m Sept. 9. Huston was also allegedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines upon arrest.

• Sean W. Snyder, 45, Centralia, was arrested and released for allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 12:45 a.m. Sept. 10.

 

Criminal trespass

• A reported transient individual from Winlock was trespassed from private property in the 300 block of North Gold Street at about 8:11 p.m. Sept. 9.

• A reported transient from Centralia was trespassed from private property at the corner of West First Street and Harrison Avenue at about 9:12 p.m. Sept. 9.

 

Theft

• Theft of property was reported in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 2:59 p.m. Sept. 9. The case is under investigation.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Andrew J. Hubbard, 58, Castle Rock, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged delivery of a controlled substance after being arrested in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard at about 8:07 a.m. Sept. 4.

Assault



• Richard C. Bruce, 38, Chehalis, had a case referred to the city prosecutor for a possible domestic assault in the 400 block of Northeast Washington Avenue at about 2:09 a.m. Sept. 7.

 

Theft

• Shoplifting was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 12:47 p.m. Sept. 3 after a man allegedly took five gallons of paint. The reporting person advised he did get the paint back. No arrests were made. 

• An unidentified woman reportedly took a package off a porch in the 1000 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue at about 4:44 p.m. Sept. 6 and put it into a gray Nissan SUV. The woman was reportedly wearing a white sweater but was in the process of taking it off. She was last seen in an alley past Cascade.

• An e-bike was reported stolen from the back of a building in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way at about 4:33 p.m. Sept. 7. 

 

Vehicle prowl

• Theft of a vehicle battery was reported in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street at about 2:35 p.m. Sept. 3.

 

Accidents

• A vehicle struck a building pillar in the 100 block of South Market Boulevard at about 3 p.m. Sept. 3. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

• Katie R. Sullivan, 39, Centralia, was cited for third-degree driving with a suspended license after a single-vehicle non-blocking collision in the 1100 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue at about 3:50 p.m. Sept. 4. Aid was reportedly declined.

• A two-vehicle non-blocking collision with no reported injuries occurred at the corner of South Market Boulevard and Southwest 13th Street at about 4:45 p.m. Sept. 4.

 

Disorderly conduct

• An unidentified male allegedly threatened to beat up staff in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at about 1:33 a.m. Sept. 4. The threats allegedly occurred because the man said he had a DoorDash pickup there. The staff then reported there was no one actually outside that they could see and that the threat was received by phone.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Sept. 10, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 191 inmates, including 178 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 150 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
